Funnily enough, the story behind this rooku goes that Melbourne -in mid-summer, mind- got the biggest soaking of the last 50-odd years just after Nicole (my partner) and I left for a week's holiday.

My house sitter duly called to tell us the results, garden washed into the street, no house damage otherwise. So we could see reports in the news and not worry.

Ironically, this all happened within a day or two of Nicole and I visiting the palace at Versailles, so I guess the timing couldn't have been better.
